The Power of two hearts

In the land of Lightning, Aaiyame the Akatsuki member travels the rough landscape trying to hunt down the hiding place of the jinchurikis of the 8, 9, 12 and 13-tails. The information Madara Uchiha has collected tells her that Killer Bee, the 8-tails jinchuriki is a large man who prefers swords and bad rap. Naruto Uzumaki, the 9-tails jinchuriki is a young man with blonde hair who has a tendency to charge into situations often without thinking, he should be easy to take care of. There is not much information about the 12-tails jinchuriki, other than that she's from the Sand village and that she has cat-like features. Finally flipping through the bingo book, Aaiyame comes across his face. Saion Auma, the jinchuriki of the 13-tails Phoenix and the last known member of the Auma clan. Aaiyame still thinks back to that day when, instead of killing her, Saion spared her despite her having kidnapped one of his students and trying to capture him. She doesn't know why, but she cannot get his face out her mind. Aaiyame keeps telling herself it's because of his eyes, his Kairis and she's wants them. But she can't shake a feeling that there's more to it than that. Shaking her head, Aaiyame gets her mind back to the mission, finding their hiding place. That last cloud chunin wasn't very helpful with her mission; then again she did nearly kill him with her torture techniques.  On the bright side, Aaiyame did get some good lightning techniques out of him, before she slit his throat. Aaiyame always loves dealing with Stone and Cloud shinobi, always act so tough, until you have a kunai to their throat, then they squeal everything they know like a bunch of scared children. But still she can't find anybody who knows where the jinchuriki are hidden. Aaiyame keeps her mind focused, but on finding the jinchuriki, not on wat is all around her.

Feeling the air around her change, Aaiyame jumps clear as kunai slam into the ground where she was just standing. Deflecting a shuriken that flies at her, Aaiyame lands in a tree surrounded by six shinobi with headbands she's never seen before. Their headbands have four straight lines, creating an eight pointed star. These ninja come from a village called the hidden thunder from a far off land. One of them turns back to a seventh shinobi who's hanging back from the others, "Ma'am, I thought our mission was to scout this region of the land and report back for the invasion?" The kunoichi, obviously the superior of this bunch Aaiyame believes, replies, "Yes, but so far any of the so-called Cloud ninja we killed haven't given us any real information. And after watching this girl with that book she just hid in her right pocket, I think she knows more about this land than any other ninja in this land." Aaiyame smiling thinks to herself, "They've obviously never heard of the Akatsuki." The leader looks to Aaiyame, "Girl, come with us and tell us what we want to know and I promise you, you'll be unharmed." "Or else we'll make it long and painful, unless you cooperate, then it'll be short and painful." Another kunoichi of this group says to Aaiyame, who replies, "Sorry, but you obviously don't know who you're dealing with." Before the seven ninja can react, Aaiyame sprays the area with a poison cloud that catches two of the shinobi while the others jump away. Throwing off her Akatsuki cloak, Aaiyame aims the special device on her left arm and fires four shuriken at the leader, who catches the shuriken in the stomach, only to disappear in a puff of smoke, leaving a piece of a tree. Aaiyame turns and sees where the leader is now standing on a tree not too far from Aaiyame, so Aaiyame begins to perform the justu she's stolen from that last cloud ninja. Before she can gather enough chakra, Aaiyame feels that her body is no longer under her control. Turning her head, Aaiyame sees that the other 4 ninja are at four points around her. As Aaiyame tries to figure out what is happening, a massive shock rushes from the 4 ninja, sending massive amounts of pain through Aaiyame's body as her muscles tense and contract all at the same time. Foam and saliva begin to seep from Aaiyame's mouth as she begins to seize from the pain.  Finally, after 20 seconds of pure agony, the justu stops and Aaiyame collapses onto the branch as her legs can no longer support her weight.

The lead kunoichi smiles, "Alright. Kazuma, you and Koru will take this girl back to the boat. The rest of us will…." Turning her head, the leader sees that the one she called Kazuma is standing behind her with a stunned look on his face. The lead kunoichi feels her stomach turn as a thin red line appears on Kazuma's neck, followed by Kazuma's head falling off from his body, which then falls down to the forest floor. Just as Kazuma starts falling, a justu appears behind him and passes right over his body flying towards the leader, who tries to avoid by jumping back and behind one of the trees. As leader feels safe, she starts to hear the trees directly behind her being cut apart and turning around, the leader just avoids the justu coming through the tree trunk she was resting on. She keeps flying and dodging until another of her teammates grabs her jacket and pulls her out of the way, only for the leader's saviour to end up right in the path of this justu and she gets hit squarely in the chest. The remaining three ninja watch as their friend's body has thousands of cuts appearing all over her body, and then areas of her body where major arteries are located suddenly turn black, as if they had been blasted by fire. Next, the body of this ninja begins to spasm even more violently than Aaiyame's body. The three thunder ninja almost vomit as the body of the one hit by the elemental shuriken starts to ooze water all from the body and finally, the body starts snapping and making crunching sounds as if tons of earth had been piled onto it and then falls onto the tree looking like a pile of flesh in clothing. The thunders try to determine where that justu came from, only to turn around and see a leaf shinobi standing beside Aaiyame's unconscious body. The leaf ninja is busy looking down and checking to see if Aaiyame is still alive. Sighing with relief that she is just unconscious, the leaf shinobi turns his attention to the thunder ninja. As he stands up, the lead thunder sees his eyes and the two criss-crossed stars on his pupils. So focused are the thunder ninja that they do not see the three physical clones appearing behind them, each holding an over-sized shuriken, which are then thrown. The thunder ninja however, jump to avoid these shuriken. But the ninja trip a wire, which releases multiple wires which wrap around the three ninjas' bodies at their wrists, ankles, thighs, around their chests and one around their necks. As the three ninja struggle, the wires tighten, especially around their necks until, they collapse from lack of oxygen. When the thunder ninja go unconscious, the  wires around their necks loosen and fall off. The three clones of Saion gather his captives and place them together binding more wires around all of them, tying them together. Saion looks down at the body of Aaiyame.  In his mind, Saion is conflicted, "You should just kill her. It's what she would do if your roles were reversed." "It's not like you to just murder somebody. Besides there's more to her than simple urges for power." Saion hears within his mind the two sides of this argument. Finally making up his mind, Saion pulls out a kunai and kneeling next to Aaiyame, Saion cuts off the tight clothing on her neck and chest to relieve the pressure on her lungs.  Picking Aaiyame up, Saion runs to a clearing with his clones carrying the thunder ninja.

As night falls, Aaiyame begins to wake. She can only remember that when she fell unconscious, she was surrounded by five enemies. Aaiyame realizes that she has a blanket over her and a pillow under head. "How did these things get here?" she wonders as she sits up. Turning to her left, she sees three of those enemy ninja tied together with wire. "Did I do that?" Aaiyame can't remember. Right next to the thunder ninja is a fire with a shinobi tending it and cooking some birds over it. Looking up, Aaiyame looks right into the eyes that she hasn't been able to get out of her mind, the eyes of Saion, "Did you have a good rest?" Saion asks smiling. Aaiyame sits up and notices that she is wearing a different shirt from her purple t-shirt and fishnet undershirt. The shirt she's wearing is a loose-fitting dark red t-shirt, obviously Saion's. Lifting the sheet, she sees she's still wearing the same pants. At least Saion was respectful. Turning back to Saion, "Why didn't you kill me?" Aaiyame asks, putting her head into her hands. Saion puts one of the birds on a plate and walking over to Aaiyame, after handing her the bird, sits down beside her and stars eating his bird. In between mouthfuls of meat, Saion replies, "I thought about it. After all, that's what your basically trying to do, by extracting the 13-tails from me. But I couldn't bring myself to. I haven't been able to get you out of my mind and I wanted to get a chance to talk with you."

Aaiyame is surprised that he's been feeling the same thing that she has. Starting to blush Aaiyame reaches over and gently grabs Saion's hand, "I've been feeling the same thing. I don't know why, but I can't get you out of my head." Saion, moving closer to Aaiyame, who blushes darker shades of red, smiles, "My mother had a saying: If you can't get somebody out of your mind, maybe they're supposed to be there." Aaiyame's face, now completely red, reveals her emotions as Saion is barely 15 cm away from her, "You're mother had good advice." Saion, also blushing, "Yeah, she was a good mo…." Saion is interrupted as Aaiyame grabs his face and pulls his lips into her, the two of them touching and emotions begin to flood both shinobis' bodies as their feelings come to a head as they tighten their grip around each other by wrapping their arms around the other's back. Aaiyame pulls back from the kiss, but not the embrace she's now in with Saion, "I'm sorry. I don't think this is…" Saion cuts her off mid-sentence by returning to the kiss and then pulling back, "It's alright. We're shinobi. The strangest things happen to us. Falling in love with an Akatsuki does not really surprise me." Saion says before returning to the kiss. Aaiyame lets herself fall into the ecstasy she feels in this embrace and does not notice that Saion gently pushes her down onto the bed. Aaiyame does however notice a strange sensation, she's feels her charka slowly seep out and begins to flow with Saion's own strong charka. After a few minutes, what was once two forms of charka have merged and folded to become a single entity. Saion and Aaiyame are so single-minded that they do not notice the fire die out. But as the light from the fire fades, another, far stronger light begins to appear, from around the bed wrap. This fire is fuelled not by wood, but from two former enemies, that due to surprising circumstances, have become two lovers. To an outsider, observing the blue fire appearing from their bodies, it would be a true depiction of the power of two hearts.
